Performance Appraisal

Am I the only person on Earth that gets an awful feeling when the boss says "We'll do your performance appraisal over lunch. That way we will be away from the office".

Terror runs through my blood. I start thinking of EVERTHING I have said and done in the past year. Was anything inappropriate (of course!)? What awful, horrible thing did I do? Am I being 'released' from the company?

That was the Guilt talking.

Of course the appraisal went very well, except for the increase in salary part (the company is not doing so well in the finances).

And, all my boss really wanted was a nice lunch out, away from the office.
